Alice Fox of Rehoboth sews hundreds of masks for community

May 6, 2020

For the past several weeks, 89-year-old Alice Fox of Rehoboth Beach has been sewing hundreds of masks for neighbors and the local community.

To let people know when masks are available on her front porch, she posts on the Nextdoor neighborhood site. She has family members drop off masks to a Lewes registered nurse who distributes them to Beebe and others in need.

In thanks for the masks, neighbors sometimes leave an envelope with a few dollars, or even a few rolls of toilet paper.
