Alice Louise Larsen, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother
Alice Louise Larsen, 95, a longtime resident of Rehoboth Beach, died peacefully Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in Lewes. Born June 6, 1929, she was the loving daughter of Elizabeth and Charles R. Parker of Millsboro. Louise, as she was known to all, frequently told great stories of her early years growing up on an apple orchard in Bridgeville before moving to Millsboro.
She was predeceased by the love of her life and husband of 58 years, Thomas Larsen. They were partners in life as well as in business, running several businesses in Rehoboth and Dewey, and at the Indian River Inlet. In Rehoboth, they raised three daughters, Terri Larsen, Beth Webb (Jay) and Susan Sullivan (Michael), and will be remembered with love by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Louise loved to travel with her husband, notably a cross-country road trip throughout the United States, visiting a multitude of national parks along the way. More often, they traveled to their second home in Florida to enjoy the warm weather and visit Disney World. She also traveled to Europe (Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Sweden, Denmark) and Russia (St. Petersburg, Moscow).
She enjoyed being at home, spending time by the pool with family, friends and neighbors, hosting holiday family gatherings, gardening and spoiling her dogs. Louise had lifelong high school friends from the 1947 Millsboro High School graduating class and attended several reunions and many lunches with “the ’47 girls” throughout the years.
The family would like to thank the aides and caregivers in the memory care unit of ExcelCare of Lewes, especially James Tolliver who always brightened up her days.
A private service will be held at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery in Millsboro.
