The new All Saints’ Church youth group members did their part in helping clean up the beach and protect sea life Oct. 7.
The group meets once a month with the mission of providing a community service and choosing a cause or group that may be in need.
Their next project, Bridging the Gap Between Ship & Shore, is called the Christmas at Sea program, with the Seamen’s Center of Wilmington. The program provides a ditty box filled with gifts for every seafarer arriving in the First State during the month of December.
Youth group members will collect and fill the shoeboxes with donated items needed by seafaring men and women who protect the Delaware Bay.
