Alpaca farm to host plein air watercolor day June 7

May 20, 2023

Delaware Watercolor Society members will meet for a plein air paint day at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 7, at Four Acres Living Alpaca Farm, 32236 Omar Road, Frankford.

The entrance, marked by a blue sign, is a gravel road leading to a white-and-black house and barn.

Preregistration is not required. A fee of $20 per person is payable to the alpaca farm upon arrival. Attendees will be given a brief tour of the farm.

Tables and chairs will be set up where the alpacas are free to roam.

Feed is available for an additional cost for anyone who wants to feed the alpacas (and they love to eat).

Participants should bring their own painting supplies including a container to hold water. There is a sink for water access. Attendees can bring a sketchbook or cameras, or both.

Participants should pack a lunch and drink; there will be no food or drink for purchase. A refrigerator will be available.

The farm has a small shop where alpaca products and other interesting items can be purchased.
