America’s 250th birthday youth art entries due Oct. 31

Art in Bloom is asking area youth in kindergarten through 12th grade to submit original works of art by Friday, Oct. 31, to be considered for inclusion in its Happy 250th Birthday, America! community display outside the Lewes Public Library.

Artwork should be two-dimensional, on a flat surface and made of traditional media. Artists are encouraged to use their imagination to design original, creative pieces celebrating America’s birthday. Art in Bloom committee members will select student pieces from three grade categories: K-5, 6-8 and 9-12.

The selected pieces will be enlarged and displayed on the replica train depot located in the courtyard between the library and the Junction & Breakwater Trail in April 2026.
