Annual Tent Services to be held in Georgetown

August 7, 2012

Everlasting Hope Ministries has announced the schedule for this year’s 19th Annual Tent Services. The services will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, August 14-16, 18 and 19 on the grounds of the Booker Street Church of God, 10 Booker St., Georgetown. Services will begin at 7 p.m. nightly. There will also be two Sunday services, at 11:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The purpose of these meetings is to encourage individuals whose lives are adversely affected by drugs or alcohol. A guest speaker will present a timely message nightly to inspire and challenge those in attendance not only to resist drugs and alcohol, but also to strive for individual excellence through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

The speakers are as follows: Tuesday - Bishop Jamie Hazzard from Welcome Full Gospel Holiness Church in Slaughter Neck; Wednesday - Bishop Roland Mifflin from Power & Love Outreach Ministries in Millsboro; Thursday - Pastor Anthony Cannon from Dominion Church Delaware in Harbeson; Saturday - Elder Frances and Minister Olivia Bivens from the Clarence Street Church of God in Seaford; Sunday morning - Bishop Marvin Morris, host and pastor of the Booker Street Church of God; and Sunday evening - Pastor Arlene Taylor from Chosen Generation Ministries in Grasonville, Md. These services are open to the public; everyone is welcome to attend. For more information, contact the Rev. Tony Neal at 302-381-3711 or call the church office at 302-856-9097.
