Atlantic Fields should be in Millsboro

October 10, 2025

My suggestion would be to put the Atlantic Fields shopping center on Route 113 between Millsboro and Georgetown. The new Millsboro bypass is now open and there is plenty of land on that highway corridor for a shopping center of this size.

This corridor already has BJ’s, Lowe's and other stores in a shopping center. The eastern part of Sussex County cannot take any more large shopping areas. Traffic is bumper to bumper all year long on Route 1. There is no more peak season.

The Route 1 corridor already has three large Tanger Outlets, a Walmart and various smaller shopping centers. Just my thoughts.
