Atlantic Lacrosse U15 girls win ESYLA championship

The Atlantic Lacrosse U15 girls' squad defeated Queen Anne's 14-8 to win the championship trophy Tuesday, May 19 at Legends Stadium. The Atlantic Lacrosse girls' U15 team downed Queen Anne's 14-8 to win the Eastern Shore Youth Lacrosse Association championship May 19 at Cape Henlopen's Legends Stadium.
Alia Marshall led all scorers with seven goals in the contest. Christina Benson and Chloe Schaeffer hit the back of the cage three times each while Jillian Seeker scored once.
Lola Messick assisted on three goals while Benson and Jackie Cannon tallied one helper each.
Atlantic goalie Vienna Iacona stopped eight Queen Anne's shots.
"Queen Anne's tried to push us around tonight," said Atlantic head coach Gary Cannon. "But our girls responded, and it got them more determined to get every loose ball, every draw and score."
