Atlantic Liquors helps spread cheer for charity

December 22, 2011

Atlantic Liquors held a fundraiser Dec. 20 to spread a little holiday cheer to its adopted charity.

The self-proclaimed “Greatest Liquor Store In The World” teamed up with Bethany Blues, Cake Break Rehoboth and other local businesses to raise money for Children and Families First of Delaware, which helps provide social services to children and families in need.

Atlantic Liquors gave out prizes for large donations such as a refrigerator, an iPod dock and golf bags. Also available were beer-themed cupcakes from Cake Break and barbeque ribs from Bethany Blues, which also auctioned off a tailgate for 12 package, while The Lighthouse in Dewey Beach gave away tickets to its New Year’s Eve party. Donations were greeted with a “thank you very much,” from the King himself, Elvis.

Atlantic Liquors has helped raise $1,400 the last two years for the charity.
