Atracare introduces new mental health therapist
Atracare recently announced Julian Hall has joined its team as a clinical mental health therapist at 1532 Savannah Road, Lewes.
Throughout his graduate school training at Chatham University, Hall was exposed to the field settings of community mental health as well as an intensive outpatient program for children and adolescents facing obsessive compulsive disorder. He has experience and a passion for working with the LGBTQIA+ population as well as adolescents into emerging adulthood.
As a counselor, he believes in approaching the client through a collaborative lens using techniques and theories from third wave cognitive-behavioral therapies such as dialectical behavioral therapy as well as acceptance and commitment therapy. Hall also draws from person-centered therapy, striving to create a safe space for his clients to explore and reach self-actualization.
Originally from Lancaster County, Pa., Hall has lived in Pittsburgh the last eight years. He said he is anxious to explore everything coastal living has to offer, such as taking runs on the beach with his beloved Newfoundland puppy. Hall said he enjoys being in nature in any capacity, traveling, listening to audiobooks/podcasts and challenging himself with learning a new skill or activity.
