Award-winning novelist Stefani Deoul and humorist Fay Jacobs will be at Browseabout Books in Rehoboth Saturday, Dec. 1, starting at 2 p.m., signing books and reading from their latest works. It will be a book launch and a party, with refreshments, laughter and good cheer.
Dec. 1 is the official book launch date for Deoul’s “Zero Sum Game,” a young adult mystery which is the second book in the Sid Rubin Silicon Alley Adventure series. It’s a sequel to the acclaimed first book, “On a LARP,” which won the prestigious Independent Publisher’s Award for 2017.
In “Zero Sum Game,” a teenage coder and her brainiac buddies become embroiled in the dark web of video gaming - helping their friends and police solve a baffling and dangerous mystery. “It’s like Mr. Robot meets Smart Girls,” says publisher Bywater Books.
Jacobs, a well-known Rehoboth author who writes for Delaware Beach Life and Letters from CAMP Rehoboth, has five collections of her reliably hilarious and sometimes provocative essays published by Bywater Books. Jacobs will be reading from her latest, unpublished works, and will be signing copies of all of her five published books - the latest being “Fried & Convicted – Rehoboth Beach Uncorked.”
Come have a laugh and some holiday goodies at Browseabout. “Zero Sum Game” is perfect for YA readers on the list and a great read for all adults as well. Jacobs’ books make terrific gifts as well. Who doesn’t need a laugh these days?
