Author Elise Seyfried to host book launch reception June 2

May 29, 2023

Author and longtime Cape Gazette blogger Elise Seyfried will hold a reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Friday, June 2, at Nassau Valley Vineyards to launch “Nanamorphosis: Reflections on an Ever-Evolving Life,” her fifth book of humorous spiritual essays.

The event will feature complimentary wine and cheese, cake, a reading and book signing, and special music from composer and pianist Sheridan Seyfried, producer of the popular annual Celtic to Classical concert series. There is no charge to attend, but space is limited and RSVPs are required.

In addition to her five books, Seyfried’s essays have appeared in publications including Delaware Beach Life, The Broadkill Review, Shore Monthly, The Philadelphia Inquirer, HuffPost, Insider, “Chicken Soup for the Soul” and many more. She and her husband Steve have produced the Rehoboth Summer Children’s Theatre since 1982.

Seyfried’s essays are warm and funny reflections on her life as mom of five, Nana, church worker and writer. The title “Nanamorphosis” refers to the new beginnings everyone experiences in life, much as butterflies emerge from their cocoons. Several of the stories take place in Rehoboth Beach and Lewes, and many of them explore recent changes in Seyfried’s life: the pandemic, retirement from her church job, and her two growing young grandsons.

The winery is located at 32165 Winery Way in Lewes. For more information and to RSVP, contact Seyfried at 215-527-6110 or eliseseyf@gmail.com.
