Delaware State University admissions representative Joy Gordy-Stith gives a presentation about the college to AVID students at Beacon Middle School.
Beacon Middle School Advancement Via Individual Determination students in sixth to eighth grades had an opportunity Feb. 25 to learn about programs offered by Delaware State University.
Admissions representative Joy Gordy-Stith shared information about the DSU campus, student life, financial aid and athletic teams. Gordy-Stith also spoke about the affordable tuition at Delaware State and enlightened students on the variety of majors the university offers.
Beacon AVID program representatives hope to continue working with Delaware State University in the future to help young students who are beginning to consider opportunities that await them after high school.
