Barbara Ann Deaton, member of clubs

Barbara Ann Deaton of Lewes, passed away Monday,  July 13, 2015, in Gambrills, Md.

Born in Baltimore, Md., to the late Howard and Daisy Bottiger. Barbara lived her life in Anne Arundel County until 1999 when she moved to Delaware.

She was a graduate of Western High School and a member of clubs such as The Red Hat Society, Golden Chicks and the YMCA. She was active in the Grace of God Lutheran Church, and she enjoyed watching the Orioles.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Deaton Sr.; brothers, Charles Bottiger and Vernon Bottiger; and granddaughter Heather Deaton. She is survived by her brother, Howard Bottiger Jr, her sons, Robert L. Deaton of Glen Burnie, Md. and wife Vicki, Bruce A. Deaton of Springfield, Mo. and wife Margaret, Brian T Deaton of Eldersburg, Md. and wife Juanita; daughter, Deborah Redmond of Virginia Beach, Va. and husband Tom; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Friends and family may call at the family-owned Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home, P.A. Glen Burnie, Md., Monday, July 20, from 3 to 5 p.m., and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at the funeral home Tuesday, July 21, at 11 a.m. Interment in Meadowridge Memorial Park to follow service.
