Bayhealth presents special awards to outstanding physicians

At the recent Bayhealth Medical Staff Recognition Dinner, officials recognized three exemplary physicians with special awards.

Each year, this event highlights the outstanding contributions of physicians across the health system and reinforces Bayhealth’s commitment to excellence in patient care and medical professionalism.

Honorees were selected from among more than 400 physicians across Bayhealth’s medical staff.

The Bayhealth Team Player Award was presented to family physician Sharad C. Patel, MD, honoring his active and respectful participation on the medical staff, openly sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues in the spirit of teamwork.

The Bayhealth Spirit Award went to internal medicine physician Simran Kaur Matta, MD, whose actions and attitude reflect Bayhealth’s mission and values. She inspires and motivates others in pursuit of excellence.

The Bayhealth Excellence in Service and Professionalism Award was presented to medical hospitalist Roshan Prabhu, MD, as one who embodies the highest standards of medical professionalism, demonstrating ethical integrity, compassionate care, and responsibility to patients and peers alike.

Patel, Matta and Prabhu on these well-deserved recognitions.”
