Beachcombers Corvette Club show raises $3,000 for local causes

Garnering one of the top 30 trophies, Jay Tucker showed a 1957 Ford Thunderbird.
A 1971 Plymouth Barracuda shown by John Koff earned a top 30 trophy.
A 1964 Chevrolet Corvette convertible shown by Jim Erb took home one of the top 30 trophies.
Nearly 100 registered vehicles competed for 30 trophies at the Beachcombers Corvette Club of Southern Delaware Annual Charity Open Car Show held Aug. 16 at First State Chevrolet in Georgetown.
Best in Show was awarded to a 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback shown by Fred Wimbrow. The show raised more than $3,000 for two local beneficiaries, the Food Bank of Delaware and the Delaware Tech Scholarship Fund.
