Beacon Middle football downs Mariner 29-6

The annual Beacon versus Mariner football game was held Oct. 27 at Cape’s Legends Stadium, and when the final gun sounded, the Beacon squad had taken a hard fought 29-6 victory back to their Route 24 campus. They remain undefeated on the season with a 5-0 record. Mariner falls to 0-4.

Beacon quarterback Jameson Tingle went 7-for-8 through the air for 108 yards and a touchdown and a pair of two-point conversions.

Ozmeer Daisey caught a touchdown pass, while Amari Jackson and Lamar McCoy pulled in the two-point conversions. Running back Lamar McCoy rushed six times for 83 yards and two touchdowns.

Cameron Greene scored for Mariner with a 26-yard run.

Beacon travels to Delmar Thursday, Nov. 4, while the Mariner team hosts Milford Nov. 10.
