Beebe bomb threat prompts Lewes police response

Several Beebe Healthcare employees received a low-credibility and nonspecific bomb threat via email at approximately 9:17 a.m., Dec. 18.

Beebe Healthcare officials immediately contacted the Lewes Police Department, which responded to several Beebe locations within the city. Those buildings were searched with the assistance of a K-9 from the Delaware River and Bay Authority Police, and were rendered safe.

Lewes Police Department is following leads as to the origin of the email, and the investigation is ongoing.
