Sussex County Habitat for Humanity is partnering with Beebe Healthcare to bring essential health services directly to the community. Starting Thursday, May 22, the Beebe Mobile Health Clinic will be on site at the Sussex County Habitat ReStore, 18501 Stamper Drive, Lewes, from 1 to 4 p.m., every other Thursday. The schedule will continue through the summer.
Community members can access a range of free health services during these visits, including: HIV and hepatitis C testing, medical screenings, prescription medication support and substance abuse treatment resources.
No appointments or insurance are required. These services are designed to reduce barriers to care and increase access to lifesaving resources across Sussex County.
“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to improving lives and building a healthier, more connected community,” said Cathy Basenese, ReStore director. “We’re excited to host the Beebe Mobile Health Unit at our ReStore and make healthcare more accessible to those who need it most.”
The ReStore plays a critical role in advancing Habitat’s mission. In addition to offering affordable home goods and building materials to the public, the ReStore generates essential funding for Sussex Habitat’s affordable housing projects through the sale of donated items. By shopping, donating or supporting the ReStore in other ways, community members directly contribute to creating safe, stable housing across Sussex County.
