Beebe integrative health programs to start Feb. 13

January 30, 2019

Beebe Healthcare presents integrative health and wellness free seminars for the community throughout the year.

A Practice of the Heart: Exploring the Concept of Love and Loving Kindness Meditation will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Lewes Public Library. Author and researcher Brené Brown said, “Courage is a heart word. The root of the word courage is cor - the Latin word for heart." Attendees will celebrate Valentine's Day by learning to live courageously and spreading loving-kindness to all beings including themselves. Facilitators are Elizabeth Sanchez, holistic life and energy coach, and Raylen Williams, Phoenix Rising yoga therapist.

Beyond Stents and Statins: An Integrative Approach to Managing Heart Disease will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 27, at the Lewes library. Dr. Uday Jani will offer thoughtful insights and the latest updates on the integrative approach to cardiac care. Alternative methods to keep heart, mind and spirit healthy will be explored, including integrative nutrition, massage therapy, exercise, mind-body techniques and acupuncture.

Stress, Wellbeing and the Role of Money will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 27, at the Lewes library. Participants will explore the interrelation between stress, their finances and the impact on their overall well-being. Attendees will take a close look at these connections, and review and discuss strategies to take active roles in both their finances and their well-being. This class will be co-led by Rita Williams, health coach with Beebe Integrative Health, and Robert Jeter II, a certified financial planner and financial advisor with InFocus Financial Advisors.
