The Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce will present the 47th Annual Bethany Beach Boardwalk Arts Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 6, in downtown Bethany Beach.
More than 100 juried artists will be on hand to showcase and sell their work, bringing unique creations representing a variety of different mediums including paintings, photography, woodwork, metalwork, clay, baskets and jewelry.
The festival weekend will begin with a free artists’ reception from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 5, sponsored by Delaware Division of the Arts. This is an RSVP-only event; register at tinyurl.com/apujh576. All registered attendees will qualify to win a $300 Gallery One gift card and original pottery by artist John Cooley. Attendees can enjoy an evening with the 16 talented partner artists of Gallery One at 32 Atlantic Ave., Ocean View.
During the festival July 6, artist booths will be on display on Garfield Parkway, the Bethany Beach Bandstand, Hollywood Street, Parkwood Street and along the boardwalk. There will also be a silent auction on the bandstand stage featuring works of art generously donated by festival artists. All proceeds from the silent auction will support the arts programs of local elementary schools.
