Bethany Blues softball team captures women’s senior league title

The Rehoboth Women’s Senior Softball League wrapped up its season Aug. 20, and the Bethany Blues team remained undefeated to capture the 2024 championship. This was the third title in a row for the 45-and-over team, and its first year of being sponsored by Bethany Blues.
Member Cathy Benson said, “The league was established about 15 years ago and is still going strong. Over 100 women gather at the Holland Glade Road softball and baseball complex throughout the summer each week to play. We may not be quite as good as we were 30 years ago, but we sure do have a lot of fun!”
Organizers thanked all participants for a great season and real team effort, and offered sincere appreciation to all the fans and supporters.
