Bette Gallo retires from board of Community Bank Delaware
Community Bank Delaware recently announced the retirement of Bette Gallo, a founding board member whose leadership and dedication have shaped the bank since its inception.
“We are grateful for Bette’s unwavering dedication and invaluable contributions to Community Bank Delaware’s board of directors,” said Alexander J. Pires Jr., chair and CEO. “Her expertise in marketing strategies, business development and philanthropic vision has played a pivotal role in fostering the bank’s strong relationships within the community.”
A longtime Sussex County resident, Gallo has called the region home for 47 years. In 1979, she and her husband, Sal, founded Gallo Realty in Lewes. What started as a two-person company has grown into a thriving real estate firm with offices in Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach, Bethany Beach and Lewes.
Beyond her professional achievements, Gallo has been a steadfast supporter of local nonprofits and charitable organizations, earning recognition as Rehoboth Beach Citizen of the Year. Gallo and her husband also received the Sussex County Association of Realtors Humanitarian Award and established the Gallo Gives Foundation, which grants scholarships to graduating high school seniors and provides quarterly donations to local organizations.
Residing in historic Lewes, Gallo enjoys spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As she steps away from her role at Community Bank Delaware, her legacy of service and leadership will continue to shine through her contributions all over Sussex County.
