Bingaman advances to USA BMX State Finals

September 1, 2019

First State USA BMX recently held state qualifying races to advance riders to the USA BMX State Finals at the end of September.

Greg Bingaman Jr. has been spending the summer in Lewes with his grandmother Beth Cobb working by day and racing three evenings a week in Milford at First State Bike Park.

He advanced to the USA BMX State Races after winning all three races in the 14 novice group. The Pennsylvania native will return to Delaware with his parents to compete for the state championship.

After receiving his trophy, he earned a sponsorship from On2 Wheels, a bike shop in Winchester, Va., which travels to the large bike racing events. It sponsors riders who exhibit superior sportsmanship, good work ethic and high academic standards. Riders are required to put education first and always present themselves as respectful individuals.

Greg’s grandmother really enjoyed every minute spent with him this summer. She and others in Nassau Grove are proud of this very mature, upstanding young man who spent his whole summer working in Lewes, helping neighbors, skimboarding, and biking on the new bike trails.
