Blanche C. Harmon Miller, upbeat personality

Blanche C. Harmon Miller, 88, of Millsboro passed away Monday, Oct. 28, 2019, at Beebe Healthcare, Lewes.

Mrs. Miller was born Sept. 5, 1931, in Long Neck.  She worked for many years at Vlasic Foods Inc.  Blanche was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church in Millsboro.  She enjoyed puzzles, word search, listening to music and had a happy, upbeat personality.  She loved her cats, especially Casper and Tiger.

She is survived by a daughter, Gina Jacobs (Morris) of Millsboro; a son, Hildred Stevenson of Georgetown; and a sister, Jennie Hitchens of Millsboro.  She also leaves behind five grandchildren, April Tull, Keenan Miller, Shane Miller, Deon Stevenson and Shana Stevenson, as well as eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. 

Blanche is preceded in death by her father, Isaac Harmon; five brothers, Isaac Harmon Jr., Ernest Harmon, Leon Harmon, Robert Harmon and Julian Harmon; as well as three sisters, Mary Nelson, Delilah Polk and Bessie Harmon; and a great-grandson, Shane Jr.

A graveside service will be held at Harmony Cemetery at noon, Monday, Nov. 4.  Elder  Pamela Hitchens will officiate. Flowers are welcome.
