Blessing and Baptisms in the Bay

The turbulent bay was accompanied by a clouded sky, as the Delaware Gospel Assembly, a nondenominational church in Georgetown, hosted almost 300 worshippers from neighboring Maryland and Pennsylvania, Aug. 17 on Lewes Beach.
Congregants arrived in droves to impart the annual blessing and prayers to the bay and to offer baptisms to devotees. Band members and parishioners sang and chanted as the Rev. Lesly Marcelin offered prayer.
