Bonnie Marie Stanfield Walston, loving wife, mother

Bonnie Marie Stanfield Walston, aka Star, 43, of Seaford, earned her angel wings Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Raymond Stanfield and Sharon Childress.

Star graduated from Cape Henlopen High School. She was a homemaker who lovingly cared for her children. 

She is survived by her loving husband of 20 amazing years, Clifford Walston; her three sons, Jonathan Stanfield of Spring City, Tenn., and Joseph and Jaden Walston of Seaford; three brothers, Spiro Stanfield of Millsboro, Charles Stanfield II (Pamela) and Michael Stanfield of Laurel; one sister, Heather Buchler of Magnolia; and many relatives and friends.

Services for the family were held privately Jan. 20. Her wings were ready, but our hearts were not.  

A time of remembrance will be held from 2 to 5 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 7, at the home of Clifford and Victoria Gibbs.
