One of Milton’s newest businesses is about to make its presence known.
The Milton Historic Preservation Commission unanimously granted Broadkill Tattoo Company and Gallery’s request to place a sign on the side of its 112 Federal St. building. By town code, Broadkill Tattoo can put up a sign no larger than 32 square feet.
Broadkill Tattoo Co. opened in July; its owners are Sean and Meesh Rhodes, who helped bring the ubiquitous HOPE signs to the Cape Region after the COVID-19 pandemic hit the state in March.
The business is located in a house on Federal Street across from Town Hall and next to Goshen Hall. Because the house is in the town’s historic district, the sign request had to be approved by the historic preservation commission, which reviews construction and renovation projects in the historic district.
