Browseabout book club meetings kick off Sept. 14
Browseabout Books announced its Words That Bleed book club will meet from 3 to 4:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 14, for a discussion of “The Swarm” by Andy Marino, at 133 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach. Led by staff member and published author Kelly Lidji, the club is for fans of horror and suspense.
Browsers Forensic Files, also led by Lidji, is for true crime and investigative journalism enthusiasts. Its next discussion is set for 3 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 28, focusing on “Typhoid Mary” by Anthony Bourdain.
Browseabout Book Club discusses works of literary fiction, poetry, nonfiction and a range of genres. Members select works for their timely and timeless importance, and uniqueness of perspective.
Taking the helm as moderator is Maribeth Fischer, Rehoboth Beach Writers Guild founder and executive director, and the author of three novels.
Its next discussion, set for 3 to 4:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 21, will focus on Virginia Evans' book, “The Correspondent.”
"Browseabout Books has long been a core part of my writing and reading life, and so the opportunity to be a part of the store and its readers in a more official way — What an honor," said Fischer.
All book clubs offer free membership, meet at Browseabout Books in Rehoboth Beach and require no registration.
