Paul Kares announced Anna Burkholder is the new director of marketing and promotion for the Lewes-based nonprofit supporting aspiring musicians and culinary artists.
The organization was founded by Paul Cullen, a local musician, chef and sommelier, and businessman Jim Rivette. They co-own Paul Cullen Wines, for which Burkholder has organized product tastings. Her previous experience includes 32 years as a communication associate at the American Farm Bureau in Washington, D.C., as well as teaching cooking classes and managing a charcuterie business.
Paul Kares has made grants for school scholarships, industry-related travel, music conferences and workshops. The organization has also awarded grants to the Music School of Delaware and the culinary program at Delaware Technical Community College.
Paul Kares is the beneficiary of events held at the Room at Cedar Grove, an entertainment venue near Lewes.
