Bus trip to Barnes Collection and Berthe Morisot exhibit set Nov. 7

Gallery One in Ocean View is sponsoring a bus trip and private tour of the Barnes Museum in Philadelphia and a special exhibition of the works of Berthe Morisot Wednesday, Nov. 7.

The public is invited to join the artists of Gallery One on a private tour of the Barnes Collection, a gallery of over 4,000 objects gathered by its founder, the late Albert C. Barnes. The collection includes 900 paintings by impressionists, post-impressionists and modernists masters of European and American artists.

The trip includes the admission, a private small-group guided tour of the gallery and admission to the special exhibition of paintings by Berthe Morisot, a woman who defied the social norms of her time by joining the Parisian avant-garde. Participants will have ample opportunity to view the full collection of the gallery.

Travel to and from the gallery will be in a deluxe touring bus with amenities for travel comfort. The approximate time of departure will be 7 a.m., with return at about 5:30 p.m. There will be two pickup and drop-off sites, with one in the Ocean View/Bethany area and the other in the Lewes/Rehoboth area.
