Buzz Off 3D was held Dec. 1 at the Crooked Hammock Brewery in Lewes. The event was a fundraiser for the Tunnell Cancer Center Patient Special Needs Fund.
With barbers and hairstylists on site, individuals were paying people to shave off their beards and get a full buzz cut of their hair.
The funds started being raised last month with organizer Morgan Shank’s Movember (No Shave November). Funds were also raised by the sale of T-shirts, a raffle, 50/50, plus 10 percent of Crooked Hammock’s sales from 6 to 9 p.m.
The event raised about $5,000. These funds will be used to help cancer patients pay bills and meet other needs.

Event organizers Morgan Shank, left, and Orion Cameron are joined by Irie Cameron. Shank has three years of beard growth and Cameron has 12 years of dread growth.

Orion Cameron was charging $5 for a cut on his dreadlocks. Taking a cut is Rachel Richardson as Katie Callahan looks on.

Six-year cancer survivor Anette Rufle gets her hair partially shaved by stylist Chae Sade. Rufle eventually had her whole head shaved.
