CAMP Rehoboth Chorus to present I Am Woman Feb. 13-15

January 11, 2026

Kicking off its 16th season, the CAMP Rehoboth Chorus will present I Am Woman, a celebration of women composers, artists and performers, starting at 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Feb. 13 and 14, and 3 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 15, at Epworth United Methodist Church, 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth Beach.

This concert highlights artists including Aretha Franklin (“Think”), Bette Midler (“From a Distance”), Taylor Swift (“Blank Space”) and many more. The chorus will offer hope via songs like Carly Simon’s “Let the River Run” from the movie, “Working Girl,” and a rendition of “You Raise Me Up” performed by the Alliance Singers ensemble. Iconic hits like “9 to 5,” “I Will Survive” and the show’s title track, “I Am Woman,” shine light on the resilience and strength of the female experience.

Through its setlist, the CAMP Rehoboth Chorus actively creates an inclusive space for all audience members. Anthems like “This Is Me” from the movie, “The Greatest Showman,” Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way,” and Cyndi Lauper’s “True Colors” spotlight the power of diversity and acceptance in communities. In  a rousing tribute to self-love, the chorus celebrates “The Greatest Love of All,” popularized by Whitney Houston.

More than 100 members bring their voices to CAMP Rehoboth Chorus, and two ensembles – WomenKind and the Alliance Singers – are featured in this concert.

A brand-new women’s a cappella group singing under the direction of Jeff Buhrman, WomenKind will perform a pre-concert shortly before the full chorus takes the stage. The auditioned ensemble’s mission is to foster a kind and loving community by celebrating the power of women and music.

The Alliance Singers is a select ensemble within the chorus, with a repertoire that includes a broad range of styles from classical to contemporary. This group can be seen at special events throughout the year and at outreach events including senior centers and assisted-living facilities. Both groups collaborate with other performing arts organizations and offer vocal support, and their sizes provide opportunities to fulfill booking requests and maintain the visibility of CAMP Rehoboth Chorus in the community.

Doug Yetter, artistic director of the CAMP Rehoboth Chorus, is joined by longtime collaborative artist and accompanist Dave Zipse, and the five-piece CAMP Chorus Band, which provides musical accompaniment.
