CAMP Rehoboth thanks the Lodge at Truitt Homestead

July 1, 2022

CAMP Rehoboth and its board of directors would like to wholeheartedly thank the staff and volunteers at the Lodge at Truitt Homestead for hosting the second annual Summer Solstice benefit event July 25. CAMP Rehoboth Community Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community service organization dedicated to creating a positive environment inclusive of all sexual orientations and gender identities in Rehoboth Beach and its related communities. We seek to promote cooperation and understanding among all people, as we work to build a safer community with room for all. The Lodge at Truitt Homestead is an annual sponsor of CAMP Rehoboth, and the proceeds from the Summer Solstice event help support many of the programs that CAMP Rehoboth provides. This year's event did not disappoint! Held under elegantly decorated tents on the lodge's stunning back patio overlooking a beautiful pond, the staff worked tirelessly to support a happy, hungry and thirsty crowd by ensuring the refreshments flowed and the butlered gourmet heavy hors d'oeuvres and desserts were in ample supply. The band played music throughout the evening, and room for dancing was provided and used by many! There was a silent auction set up with many wonderful items to bid on, from restaurant packages to artwork. Overall, it was a very special evening. CAMP Rehoboth offers its appreciation to everyone at the Lodge at Truitt Homestead for hosting such a special event. We look forward to working together throughout this year and to holding another Summer Solstice event in 2023!
