Cape’s Currie wins wrestling state title

Cape senior Andre Currie became the latest Viking to win an individual state championship in wrestling, defeating top-seeded Anthony Bernieri of Caravel Academy 11-8 in the 170-pound title match Feb. 29 in front of a home crowd in Lewes.
Earning third-place finishes for Cape were Luke Bender (132), Mikey Frederick (145) and Finbar Rishko (152).
