Cape Allied Healthcare Career Pathway students hold blood drive

May 30, 2022

Allied Healthcare Career Pathway students organized a blood drive May 12 at Cape Henlopen High School in partnership with Blood Bank of Delmarva.

Students host the drive as a way to serve the community and gain professional, clinical-related experience. Throughout the day, students contributed by escorting blood donors to their stations and monitoring how donors were feeling during and after giving blood.

Students also promoted the blood drive with their peers and staff at the high school in the days and weeks leading up to the drive.

Blood Bank of Delmarva graciously donated a $500 scholarship to the Allied Healthcare Career Pathway Program at Cape for hosting and providing the space to conduct the drive.
