Cape Artists Gallery seeks youth art entries by Sept. 12

To promote artistic endeavors among area youth, the Cape Artists Gallery is hosting a youth art competition for contestants ages 13 to 18. The deadline to enter is Friday, Sept. 12.

Original works can be in any medium, such as pencil, ink, oil, acrylic, watercolor or pastel, and any genre, including landscape, figurative or abstract. Photography is not included in the competition.

To enter, email a photograph of the artwork, along with artist’s name, age, phone number, email address, artwork title, medium and size to capeartistsgallery@gmail.com. 

Entries must be smaller than 22-by-28-inches including frame.

Three finalists’ works will be selected and displayed in the gallery for one month, and the public will be asked to vote for their favorites.

Winners will receive cash prizes of $100, $75 and $50 for for first, second and third place, respectively.

Cape Artists Gallery is at 110 W. Third St., Lewes.
