September 19, 2019

Dr. Brittany Hazzard Ed.D., MSW, has been selected as one of the Delaware Business Times’ 2019 DBT 40.

Honorees will be profiled in the Tuesday, Oct.15 issue of the Delaware Business Times and celebrated at a reception Wednesday, Oct. 23, at the Waterfall in Claymont.

Hazzard is the board chair of the nonprofit Impact Delaware Inc., an organization that offers mentoring to youth through the Unique and ManUp programs. She currently works at Love Creek Elementary School in the Cape Henlopen School District as a school social worker. She has also recently started her new business LifeChamps LLC, a consulting firm that focuses on life skills coaching and team building for youth with a prime client focus on student athletes and athletic teams.

Hazzard is most grateful to be blessed with the love and support of her husband Reginald, 4-year old twin daughters Rylie and Re’gan, and 2-year old son RJ.

“My hope is to support youth in understanding that they are valued, that they can succeed, and plan to reach their ultimate potential,” said Hazzard.

“Each of our 2019 DBT 40 honorees are making contributions to our community through their professional and community achievement,” said Delaware Business Times Publisher Rob Martinelli. “They represent a great cross-section of the entire Delaware community and are making a difference with their intelligence, initiative, and innovation.”

A panel that included local business leaders, past winners, and members of the DBT editorial team reviewed 90 nominations.
