Cape Gazette Run & Fun Fest nets $14K to fight hunger

Cape Gazette Run & Fun Fest organizers recently presented a $14,000 donation to the Harry K Foundation.

The Run & Fun Fest was held May 11 at Nassau Commons in Lewes, with the support of the Cape Gazette, Diamond Sponsors Patio Systems, ChristianaCare and Artesian Water, along with a host of other local businesses that supported this community event. The day began with a 5K race followed by an afternoon event featuring live entertainment, food trucks, a beer garden, kids’ activities and more.

Established by Harry Keswani, the foundation works to raise money and donate 100% of event proceeds to help alleviate the problem of food insecurity in Delaware. Funds raised by the foundation are dispersed through the Food Bank of Delaware to support school backpack programs and 50 school pantries statewide.
