The Cape Henlopen girls’ lacrosse team won the state championship May 23, with a 12-8 win over Tatnall.
The win caps an undefeated season for the Vikings, who won all 18 games they played, including three wins in the state tournament.
The win also avenged a state championship game loss to Tatnall last year, when the Hornets beat Cape 10-9 to end the Vikings’ streak of 13 straight state titles.
