Cape Henlopen Lodge hosts Elks state president
Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge 2540 recently welcomed Elks State President Ken Chapman of the Broadneck Elks Lodge in Arnold, Md.
It is customary for higher-ranking officers in Elks lodges throughout the country to visit other lodges, especially those in their respective districts. The Cape Henlopen Lodge is one of 37 lodges in the Maryland/Delaware/District of Columbia region.
Attendees socialized and enjoyed dinner before the official bimonthly lodge meeting was called to order.
Chapman thanked members, officers and committee chairs for their hard work, dedication and support this year. He noted that effort continues as each lodge is committed to bring in new members to strengthen communities, and to support state and national projects. In closing, Chapman expressed his faith and confidence in the region's strong Elks population, and said he is looking forward to celebrating the great works that will be accomplished with the benevolent support of the Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge.
