Cape district leaders recognized Mariner Middle’s Mike Dmiterchik and Christina Mills with Going the Extra Mile awards at the April 25 school board meeting.
Board member Jason Bradley said Dmiterchik has stepped in this school year as an administrative substitute and has consistently gone above and beyond his duties.
“His dedication shines through in his proactive approach to supporting both students and staff, stepping in whenever and wherever needed, and fostering a positive learning environment that extends beyond the classroom,” Bradley said.
Mills has demonstrated exceptional dedication as a special education coordinator and in assisting Mariner administration, Bradley said.
“Her tireless advocacy for students with diverse learning needs has resulted in personalized support plans that empower each student to thrive,” Bradley said. “Her collaborative approach and willingness to assist in various administrative tasks highlight her commitment to ensuring the smooth operation of the school while prioritizing the well-being and success of every student and staff member.”
