Cape Unified basketball falls in finale to Seaford

Vikings celebrate seniors
February 22, 2021

The Cape Unified basketball team held its final game of the season Feb. 19, falling to Seaford. But the score didn’t matter because the team celebrated the Class of 2021, their accomplishments for the season, and their four years on the Vikings’ team.

“Our program is built on fostering the relationships between the athletes and the Unified parents,” said head coach Jenn Hagan. “I use the sport of basketball as a tool to generate the bond between players so the athletes can experience what it is like to be just like their peers. At the end of the day, the score of the game doesn’t matter, but the friendships formed make our program the slam dunk of all programs in the state.”
