Capital Ringers to present ‘It’s a Zoo Out There’ family show April 28, May 5

Capital Ringers Inc. will present It’s a Zoo Out There, an entertaining family show filled with humor, handbells, percussion and visual presentations about animals. Songs include “Crocodile Rock,” “Under the Sea,” “Baby Elephant Walk” and “Hakuna Matata.” Capital Ringers is a nonprofit English handbell ensemble that entertains and educates concert audiences with an extensive repertoire of rock ‘n’ roll, patriotic, sacred and current top 40 tunes, performing on the largest set of handbells on the Delmarva Peninsula.

Performances are set at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 28, at Long Neck United Methodist Church in Millsboro; and 7 p.m., April 28, at Mariner’s Bethel United Methodist Church in Ocean View. Another show will begin at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 5, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Lewes. Tickets for the Ocean View performance are $15. Freewill offerings will be taken at the Millsboro and Lewes events.

Founded in 2004 by Artistic Director Linda Simms, Capital Ringers’ mission is to provide performances that demonstrate the artistic diversity of English handbells.
