Carolyn E. Deutsch, active church member

Carolyn E. Deutsch passed away peacefully at Sacred Heart Senior Living in Center Valley, Pa., Monday, Dec. 18, 2023.

She was born June 15, 1928, to her parents, John A. and Claire (Bullers) Edwards.

Carolyn was a member of First Baptist Church of Lewes. She was the pianist and a choir member, and very active in the ladies’ ministries.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Deutsch.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Jeffrey Holmberg (Vicki), Larry Holmberg, Cindy Serfass (Gary), Joe Deutsch (Gretchen), Brenda Klinger (Bill) and Gail Baran.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 6, at First Baptist Church of Lewes chapel, 1001 Kings Hwy., Lewes, where a public viewing will begin at 10:30 a.m. Interment will immediately follow at Henlopen Memorial Park, Milton.
