Catholic Charities elects board chair and two new members

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Wilmington has announced its board of directors has elected a new chair as well as two new members.

Rich Kolodgie has been elected board chair. Kolodgie is currently senior career transition coach for Barton Career Advisors in Wilmington, and he has over 25 years of experience in human resources. Kolodgie is past president of the Caesar Rodney Rotary Club of Wilmington and a former member of the finance council of St. Anthony of Padua Church. He has served on the Catholic Charities Board since 2011, most recently serving as vice chair of development.

New board members are Cindy Hayes Mann and Benjamin Ryan. Mann is head of school of Padua Academy in Wilmington. Prior to joining Padua, she was assistant superintendent of schools for the Diocese of Wilmington and was executive vice president of the MBNA Foundation.

Ryan is vice president of human resources for Comcast in Philadelphia. He has also worked as a human resources executive for AAA Club Partners and Bank of America (MBNA America). He is currently a member of the Delaware Advisory Council on Career and Technical Education, Delaware All-State Theater and a former chair of the board of the Catholic Youth Ministry of the Diocese of Wilmington.

The board’s vice chairs are: finance, Martin Infanti, credit officer with TD; finance - continuous quality improvement, Ryan Newell, attorney with Connolly Gallagher LLP; development, Xavier DeCaire, partner at George J. Weiner and Associates; services and facilities, Cathy Weaver, vice president of Mission and Ministry at St. Francis Healthcare; and advocacy, James Gill, MD, physician at Family Medicine at Greenhill,.

Additional board members are Anthony Albence, director, Department of Elections, New Castle County; Fr. Joseph Cocucci, pastor, St. John Newmann Church; Fr. Roger DiBuo, pastor, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church; Rick DiSabatino, executive vice president, EDiS; Kevin Kelly, president, Leon Weiner and Associates Inc.; Brendan O’Neill, Delaware Public Defender's Office; and Theodore Prushinski, senior vice president, Citizens Bank.

Richelle A. Vible, Catholic Charities executive director, said, “I am pleased to welcome our new members to the board.
