Children’s author Laura Gehl to read at Lewes library Oct. 22
The Lewes Public Library will welcome Laura Gehl for a children’s story reading and meet-the-author event at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 22, at the library, 111 Adams Ave. in Lewes.
Gehl will read her new picture book, “The Elevator on 74th Street,” a story about a warmhearted elevator that is part matchmaker, part friend and all sweetness.
“Dr. Gehl has a remarkable gift for crafting stories that are both imaginative and deeply resonant for young readers,” said Jennifer Noonan, children’s librarian. “We’re thrilled to welcome her in person to hear her bring this delightful new book to life.”
To register, visit the calendar of events at lewes.lib.de.us or call the library at 302-645-2733.
