Children’s Beach House names Aug. 23 fundraiser co-chairs

Children’s Beach House announced Meg and John Collins as event co-chairs for its annual beach barbecue fundraiser, set for 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 23, at 1800 Bay Ave., Lewes.

The annual event supports year-round programs for children who face communicative challenges and for under-resourced families statewide.

“We are honored to co-chair this year’s beach barbecue and be part of an event that brings everyone together for CBH kids,” said Meg Collins. “Children’s Beach House is doing life-changing work for children and families across Delaware, and we’re excited to help make this year’s barbecue the most successful yet.”

The Margaritaville-themed event will include a live and silent auction featuring original artwork by local artists, music by the Reel Ting Steel Drum Band from Key West, and fantastic food and drinks.
