Award-winning Philadelphia native Christine Havrilla will bring her well-built, catchy tunes to the historic Milton Theatre at 8 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 29, in support of her new 2019 album, “Sunless Escapade.” Havrilla and her band Gypsy Fuzz will perform with special guest Andrea Nardello. Doors open at 7 p.m.
Havrilla utilizes the soft, gritty texture of her vocals to express warmth and honesty that listeners quickly embrace along with her raw, aggressive, trash-style guitar playing and looping.
With 12 albums and three EPs under her belt, Havrilla has been a featured artist for American Musical Supply’s Singer/Songwriter Month, was nominated for About.com's Reader's Choice Awards, and was nominated for three Homey Awards for 93.7 WSTW. She has shared the stage with artists like Brandi Carlile, Chely Wright, Jeffrey Gaines, America, Firefall, Jill Sobule, and more. She can be heard locally on 99.1 Radio Rehoboth.
The historic Milton Theatre is a uniquely diverse venue that features the best local, regional, national and international talent. Free municipal and on-street parking is available, and the theater is a fully accessible facility with full bar and light food options.
Tickets are $15-$20 and can be purchased at www.miltontheatre.com, by calling 302-684-3038, or at the box office, 110 Union St., Milton. For more information, go to www.ChristineHavrilla.com.
