Community Bank Delaware announced the promotion of Christopher Benjamin to vice president in its lending group.  Benjamin joined the bank in 2016 and has been successful in growing the bank’s loan portfolio, adding new relationships and managing existing customers.

President William Jack Riddle said, “Chris is the type of person that exudes personality and knowledge all in one, and when you add 26 years of experience in lending and sales, it is understandable why he automatically connects with customers.”

Benjamin holds a bachelor of science degree from Salisbury University with a major in finance and psychology.

Benjamin’s office is in Lewes where he will continue to focus on helping grow the consumer and business loan portfolio base throughout Sussex County. He works with clients on all facets of residential home lending as well as working with small business clients on their loan and deposit needs.

“It is important that I share the same core values as Community Bank Delaware. I am fortunate to be a part of the invaluable team that puts their customers and our community first,” said Benjamin.

Active in the community, Benjamin serves as a board member and finance chair for Epworth Christian School and as a board member for Sussex Academy. He resides in Seaford with his wife Rachel, and they have six children.
